Nielsen wins final Pro Stock qualifier
Denmark’s Nicolai Nielsen showed he means business today by taking his Serpent S400 to victory in the fifth and final round of qualifying here this morning at the MACH in the Netherlands. Setting the fastest lap for the qualifiers in the run with a time of 18:40, the win puts the ETS Round 2 winner third on the grid behind the all local front row of Vasco Christiaanse and Chris Van Der Hagen. Nielsen was very pleased with his car after the run and is confident that he can take the challenge to the locals come the three leg finals this afternoon. Top international Pro stock racer Jimmy Maddison who held second overnight falls two places on the grid and his Schumacher Mi3 will now start behind Nielsen.
For ETS Championship points leader Jan Van Steeg the Dutch leg of the Much More backed series is not going well and the TOP driver, who recorded the second fastest lap of the qualifiers, will line up second on the grid for the B Final.
