Chassis Focus – Marc Rheinard

Remarks – Four time World Champion and lead Tamiya driver is running the newly announced TRF419X, which are finally allowed to photograph. As seen in the official announcement, the car sports new shock towers for the shorter shocks, lower and narrower bulkheads and new rear hubs with a lower axle position and higher camber link. It also sports a new wider chassis and two-piece motor mount and Marc has finished his car off with a set of titanium screws.

Remarks – Capricorn factory driver Kyle Branson is driving an updated version of the TE 03. His car features a new stiffening system that uses a single brace of 5mm thick carbon running the entire length of the car that totally changes the flex of the car and is meant to improve the traction and to avoid tweaks in the car thanks to the single fixing point in both front and rear end.

Remarks – Team Fenix is running the newest version of their Mistral. The car features an interesting servo mount that can be either mounted in the floating position or fixed on the chassis. Fully equipped with titanium screws, Giacomo’s car features a gear differential and an aluminium black chassis specially made for team drivers.

Remarks – Making his debut in the Formula class, Daniele Ielasi is running the WRC F-One. With the ETS officials making an exception to the wing rules due to the impossibility to adapt the ETS wings to the WRC car, the Italian manufacturer’s plan is to make the future Formula platforms compliant to the ETS specs. Daniele’s car is pretty close to a standard out-of-the-box car, although it features a titanium rear axle and a pre-production aluminium chassis

Remarks – Having recently moved to Team Yokomo, German driver Valentin Hettrich is proving to be a strong contender at ETS Round 3 in Austria.  Running the Japanese manufacturer’s BD7, the car features a number of options such as front & rear double joint outdrives, a titanium spur gear shaft and an aluminium chassis. The car is completed by a full set of titanium screws and turnbuckles.

Remarks – Portuguese star Bruno Coelho is running a close to standard 2016 version of the Slovakian made T4. Fitted with titanium and aluminium Hiro Seiko screws, his car features a front brass wishbone support, heavy duty outdrive blades and an aluminium steering system.

Remarks – Having just secured his best grid position of the ETS season, Finnish ace Viljami Kutvonen is running the “A” version of the Russian made touring car which means he is using an aluminium chassis, the A800 coming with a carbon chassis as standard. His car also sports new, wider suspension arms that feature adjustable pivot balls to make it easier to adjust the car’s width. He is also using a new centre chassis stiffener which also doubles as a 65g weight.

Remarks – After a long racing hiatus, former top touring car racer Andreas Myrberg gets back behind the wheel running a Yokomo formula borrowed from his AME team driver Tobias Vogel. The car is pretty standard, only equipped with a lightweight aluminium rear axle and titanium screws, and fitted with a set of Montech wings.
